Baggenstos passes on Microsoft’s latest price reductions
Microsoft typically adjusts its prices every six months in response to currency fluctuations. In Switzerland, this now results in an average price reduction of 9.5 per cent – the second-highest reduction in Europe, after Sweden. As always, Baggenstos passes on the lower prices for cloud services 1:1 to its customers. “This is simply good customer service,” says CEO Renato Petrillo.
Azure services purchased under the Microsoft Customer Agreement continue to be billed in US dollars based on the exchange rate and are therefore excluded from the reduction, as is on-premises software.
Opportunity for sustainable cost relief
The new pricing level provides a solid basis for better absorbing the MS 365 price adjustments announced a few weeks ago, which will take effect from 1 July 2026. These adjustments remain unchanged. More importantly, this creates a time window for SMEs to benefit from the lower prices for at least one year – or for longer periods through multi-year contracts.
Microsoft continues to invest heavily in the capabilities of its cloud platform. It is becoming more secure, more intelligent, and strengthens the innovation potential and market position of the organisations using it.
