Lift & Shift Assessment
The quickest path to the cloud
The fastest path to the Azure Cloud is called Lift & Shift. It's all about migrating your workloads to the cloud, without needing to adapt or alter them.
In a workshop, we will analyze your individual starting position and the framework conditions. This is then followed by the three steps of collecting information, analysis and, finally, evaluation.
As a result of our assessment, you will receive a binding offer for your migration, including a time schedule and an estimate of the expected running costs.
Being the first Microsoft Azure MSP in Switzerland, we are the primary address for your successful start in the cloud. Take the first step now and request more information here:
We scan your local infrastructure and determine the VM resource requirements, CPU and memory utilization, and also virtual disk and network configurations. Your dependencies are also identified and documented here.
The data collected here is now analyzed and documented. Based on the dependencies found, groups are formed that will prove relevant for the migration. These steps help to perform the migration as optimally as possible, save costs and avoid errors. Potential problems will also be identified during this phase.
Based on the findings of the first two steps, your applications will be categorized. Accounting for technical and commercial criteria, the migration is then evaluated and prioritized. A project plan for the migration will also be drawn up.
Forming the basis for your decision, you will then receive a binding offer, including a time schedule and an estimate of the expected running costs.
With the help of Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery and the Azure Database Migration Service, our cloud specialists will next perform the migration.
The go-live of the new cloud infrastructure will be followed by an optimization phase. In the cloud, different rules apply than for on-premise infrastructures.
This is why it's worth checking workloads in terms of performance, availability and costs. Even by adapting the architecture to the new possibilities (such as using PaaS or SaaS components), a lot can often still be achieved in terms of performance, security and costs.
