CEO Renato Petrillo: «At our customers’side – even in our 101st year»
After his first 100 days as CEO, Renato Petrillo draws a positive conclusion and places people firmly at the centre. His first impressions.
In this age of AI, it needs to be said explicitly: my new colleagues at Baggenstos represent «Human Intelligence». Today and in the future. I have experienced openness and trust in me as a person. That is not something to be taken for granted. For this, my sincere thanks. It motivates me to lead the company into its 101st year.
My first 100 days as CEO were intense, inspiring and full of new impressions – and surprises. I was particularly impressed by the strong momentum within the teams and by the willingness of the «Baggenstösler» to actively shape change. In addition, the know-how and expertise of my colleagues are outstanding. They understand precisely what our customers need in order to succeed.
This year’s Ignite conference hosted by our partner Microsoft demonstrated clearly that AI agents will increasingly become part of the workforce. Security will be significantly strengthened through Security Copilot. I am impressed by the innovative power coming out of Redmond. We are proud of our long-standing, close partnership with Microsoft. The technologies presented will sustainably transform our industry and our business.
We are part of this development and support our customers along the way. At the same time, we are fully aware that technology is not an end in itself. The key is to extract what is meaningful for people. In view of the current threat landscape, AI-driven security systems are, in my view, essential for protecting SMEs and their business models.
Outlook for 2026: the 101st year
Change is on the horizon – not only technologically, but also in how we work together. The coming year will mark our 101st year as Baggenstos. A milestone that commits us to combining tradition with innovation. Put simply: we remain grounded. We ensure standardisation and security in and with the cloud, and deliver modern workplaces that leave nothing to be desired. We continue to digitalise, deepen partnerships, track industry trends and propose what truly adds value – always with the highest service quality and the clearest customer benefit in our industry. In short: we keep moving forward together with our customers.
