Unified security solution for Microsoft 365 and Azure
The Microsoft threat protection portfolio is being expanded with new functions. This means that the security solutions from Microsoft 365 and Azure are now combined in an all-encompassing cybersecurity solution. Microsoft Defender now includes Microsoft 365 Defender and Azure Defender. This enables the detection, prevention and repair of a wide range of threats (e.g. via identities, endpoints, applications, cloud use or e-mail). The name is being changed from Microsoft Threat Protection to Microsoft 365 Defender. Conclusion: This unified solution (XDR) makes end-user environments even more secure.
