Baggiwood opening: light art meets sustainability in Wallisellen
Our event to mark the completion of the Baggiwood new building was an inspiring fusion of architecture and art. Last Thursday, we organised a breathtaking light show to celebrate the completion of our new company headquarters "Baggiwood in Wallisellen". Despite the snowfall in the morning and the rain in the evening, the event was a great success.
Moving words
Thomas Baggenstos gave an inspiring speech and thanked Michael Kistler, our CEO, and his daughter Bettina Baggenstos in particular for their tireless support and commitment to the new building. In his speech, he also paid tribute to the entire construction team for their hard work and gave special thanks to the site manager Kevin Lieb.
Highlights
The absolute highlight of the evening was the lighting of the building, which was masterfully staged by the renowned international artist Gerry Hofstetter. Gerry, known worldwide for his breathtaking light projections, transformed our new Baggiwood building into a fascinating work of art.
Baggiwood: Pioneering work in sustainability and modern architecture
The new building itself represents a pioneering step in modern architecture and sustainable design. Baggiwood is characterised by its low CO2 footprint thanks to its timber construction, combined collectors for electricity and water on the roof, an ice storage system and a heat pump in the basement. As a result, and thanks to intelligent building technology, the building is largely independent of external energy throughout the year.
Vision for sustainability and team spirit
With Baggiwood, we are striving to set a new standard for future construction projects and drive forward sustainable development in Wallisellen. It was an unforgettable evening full of art, light and culinary highlights. This event not only symbolised another milestone for us, but is also an expression of vision for the future and strong team spirit.
